It's important to distinguish between Fastest (speed) and Quickest (time).  The other important term is Production. There 's lots of e-bikes both faster and quicker but they're not production.

Thanks, Frank I agree this is a very important distinction.

I think the fastest official production record is Energica Ego at the texas mile doing 194mph 312kph? Prior to that, for a production motorcycle was me on the 2012 Zero with an average of 102mph 164kph.
Fastest I could find for the Ego is 160mph, I don't think it has enough power to do 194mph. Does it even still count as stock if the 150mph limiter is removed?

BTW, if you ever get the chance to come up to Loring, it's a good time.  We're e-friendly and there's tons of open records.

Oh yeah, the bikes are limited to a certain RPM, for the 194 I think it was just gearing. Also, Daren Sorenson just did a 6.9 1/8th mile which also makes the eg the Quickest production bike.

@stock generally simple things like changing sprocket ratios etc is legal in production classes.

Not sure where that 194 mph number came from... EGO's top speed from the Texas Mile was 164 mph.

The only real change to the bike was gearing. After the first run we played around a bit with different sprocket ratios and using tape to improve the aerodynamics.

I made a pass on the track yesterday. Fell asleep at the light, but bike felt good and somehow feels faster on the street . 12.03 ET at 105 mph 1/4 mile. 7.57 at 93 mph at the 1/8. Definitely can do better with more practice. I’ll try again next year.
