Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: 2014 Zero SR stolen in Little Rock!
« on: November 28, 2021, 06:31:21 PM »
My guess is that your Zero is sitting somewhere parked on a street somewhere, or in the weeds out of sight, where the thief left it when it ran out of juice.

My guess is that you didn't read the OP where he says he still has the key.

Nick you can give the VIN numbers to Zero and they can tell you.  It may be on your titles as well.

I think I would have sold them in the US and bought new in UK but that's just me.

Good luck

Zero USA has just responded with the info.

We brought them because we had room in the container so the shipping cost was effectively Zero, so to speak.

I looked at both of my Zeros for the build date on the head labels.   Nothing.   This also means that the government probably won't be able to disprove a month you pick.   So either ask Zero if they can provide it based on VIN or just pick a month for each.

As for weight, if a power pack weighs about 42 lbs, then the battery in the DS would be 84 lbs.  The battery in the DSR would be 168 lbs.

Thanks for looking

OP: I'm glad to learn your keyboard isn't broken. Fixed the topic for ya  ::)

Huh?

It's not the importer, the bikes are already here in my garage. It's the government.

Hey guys - I'm in the middle of importing a 2019 DS 7.2 and a 2018 DSR from the US to the UK (we have moved) and I'm hung up on two things. They want the battery weight and month of manufacture and I can't find either. Anyone have any suggestions?

7
I wouldn't have thought this possible but I have managed to strip the female threads for my front axle (left lower fork casting) on my 2018 DSR.

Anyone have any ideas?

Lightning / Re: Lightning being jerks. Nothing to see here.

Alas, a business is in its right not to do business with a customer or contractor they don't want to.  Depending on the contract, they might be able to refund the bike, too.

Corbin isn't selling the bike, so calling them wasn't appropriate.

Cash out the door was my experience with every bike except Ducati.  And they wanted signed papers and two ids that I was responsible for paying for it.

Not entirely true. If he had refused to deal with them because they were black, he would have been in violation. Looks to me like the business is tanking and this guy is really high strung about it.

Thanks guys. DCDC fuse is fine, I'll check output tomorrow. Dash is still working.

It's not just the headlight. It's the taillight, brake light, turn signals and horn as well.

2019 DS 7.2 900 miles  charge tank   100% charged

Turned the bike on today and all lights/horn are out. Checked the low power fuse and DCDC fuse and they were ok. Tried the key again and all lights were back but headlight flickered and went off, then came back on, then went off. Now everything is out again. Thinking there might be a loose connection and I might have moved it when I was checking the DCDC fuse?

Bike powers up and rides.

Any ideas before I trailer it to the dealer?

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Zero hard bags removal fail
« on: June 02, 2020, 05:36:27 PM »
I installed Zero hardbags on my 2018 DSR last year and have never taken them off. Now I can't. The key is 3 position, obviously lock and unlock the top and I thought the middle (diagonal) position to remove the bags from the bike. No dice. Any ideas?

Energica / Re: WalMart CCS chargers
« on: December 10, 2019, 10:06:33 PM »
I had a very difficult time getting any of the CCS chargers to work with my bike at the  Elk Grove WalMart. More than one problem. First, credit cards are declined. Any of them, Even the WalMart Credit card. Then later the same credit card will be accepted in a minute that was just declined.

Now the bike and charge station each say "DC Initializing ". And then in a few more seconds, the machine says "Charging Error".

Big Pappa was there too and had the exact same problems with his bike. He somehow got a charger to work and after,  I also got one to work. I was just about ready to first call the service number on the machines, but I did not expect that to do any good and was expecting to have to call a tow truck.

We spent more time trying to get these chargers to work than we did waiting for them to charge when they finally did. And we have  no real clue what we did do when they finally did work.

I never have any problems using the EV-Go chargers. But WalMart doesn't use EV-Go, they use Electrify America.

Have others here had problems charging with CCS at WalMart?  Or are these problems just at the Elk Grove WalMart?

-Don-  Auburn, CA

Please don't shop WalMart.

I saw it posted on the FB page and there will be a part 2 so I thought I'd post it here.  So this guy is a Zero engineer but this is his creation of a light powerful electric race bike.  Also it's a 400V system so I "assume" it will level 3 charge.  Maybe some dots will be connected, who knows.  Enjoy.
