Musk the destroyer

(1/5) > >>

Richard230:
So what is up with Musk - again?  The day after California's governor proclaimed that Ford and a couple of other auto brands would now be able to access Tesla Superchargers, news reports are saying that Musk fired his entire Supercharger installation and maintenance department, even the interns that were working in that division. As usual, everyone, including the workers and likely even the governor were blindsided by his action. What a guy!

Specter:
You still believe any crap that comes out of the lamestream?
They hate him, and will say anything to discredit / destroy him.  Id do a bit more research before just blindly gobbling down anything they try to feed you.

He did fire the senior staff / VP I think it was for a few of the departments.  He's letting go people from many other departments as well, so it's not just picking on that tiny little group.  I am sure this was not just a knee jerk decision he has made and these lay offs were in the making for a little while here already, but truth / honesty does not sell stories.

So, these 'news reports' you are quoting.  Can you link any of them here so we can check them out or is this more EV Fear Porn?

also, if one were to take a step back and look at a bigger picture,  all you all been doing nothing BUT bitching on how half his chargers are not working correctly.  If that is true, then that means that possibly.. the people in those departments are NOT doing their jobs properly.  A VERY GOOD reason to fire them then wouldn't it be?  Get rid of the low performers, get better performing people in.

At least a few of the W's that are needed to make a good story would be appreciated.

Starpower:
It is absolutely true. As most of you know Electrek is a big supporter of EV's and give Tesla credit for making them popular and viable. They have very accurate reporting.

Here is the eye opening outtake from that A-hole:

And while the last layoffs were distasteful enough, continued layoffs have even worse optics, given Tesla’s move to ask shareholders for a $55 billion payout for its CEO just days after firing 14,000 people. That $55 billion could pay for 40 years worth of six-figure salaries for those employees. Quite a large payday for a part-time CEO, made worse by the potential loss of livelihood for more employees who might still be on the chopping block.

MVetter:
Yeah he definitely did this. Nuked the 500 person SuperCharger team. And yeah it's looking like he's pouting because he wanted $55 billion and they said no, so he's just tearing shit down like an angry manchild.

This is really one of the main reasons Teslas are attractive at all as vehicles, because the SuperCharger network works incredibly well and has large deployments. Without it the company would have nothing. So he appears to be shooting the goose laying the golden eggs.

The man's a complete buffoon (check out his actual business history), however, his main talent is being in the news, and being in the news is what makes Tesla a household name.
