I can't be the only one! Let's go to some events and represent.

Chappelle's SNL Monologue (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/arts-and-entertainment/wp/2016/11/13/read-dave-chappelles-entire-snl-monologue-its-been-a-long-time/) had me laughing "in stitches" ...  I'm formerly from the north 'burbs.

A skateboarder and software engineer friend o' mine living there rides a Harley;  when last I visited we looked for an available test ride for him to try a Zero but didn't find anything.

This thread is dead, but I'm bringing it back. I've had an FXS for a year and use it as my daily commuter to the loop. It's great to tearing down LSD.

I'm commuting into the loop on my SR/F.

I got an SR that i use to commute into the loop... but it's down with the dreaded kickstand sensor failure for a few days.

I saw a "retro blue" SR/F parked on Harvey Court a few days ago. Was that you, or are these things approaching mainstream status?

That depends... where is Harvey Court? I can't find that on Google Maps in Chicago.

Sorry, I meant Garvey Court. It's that little street that goes between Lake and Lower Wacker.

Love the color. I usually park on Washington/Dearborn, but your bike brightens the day when I have to park on Garvey.

Wait wait wait, there's a spot at Washington/Dearborn? I'm intrigued.

Yup, left side of Dearborn there is that parking strip between the bike lane and the rest of the road. At the very end of it almost by Washington there is a spot between "No Parking excl Macedonian Consulate" and a "No Parking here to corner" signs. Usually enough for 2 bikes.

I'll check it out. Those two signs aren't on the same pole?

A few feet between them. 2 bikes can fit if done right.

If that red Zero is yours, I saw it yesterday. I'll try parking there tomorrow. I need to contest my ticket from yesterday online soon. Chicago parking is so bad.

Just slid in next to you. Haven't gotten a ticket in that spot yet.

Love those spots!

I'm glad these spots exist. I still get tickets occasionally in them, but I've had luck contesting them when I quote the municipal code in my letter.

Luckily Zero does not appear to be a make they have in the ticketing system. I have tickets for Znen and Other glued to my legally parked bike.

Luckily the Macedonian consulate spot has been trouble free so far. If the spirit of Alexander inspires them to conquer those 3 feet it'll be back to Garvey Court or the bike room in the office building.

Welcome back to the spot! I got a ticket there a couple of weeks ago though: first one. Obviously contesting it.

It's good to see the Zeroes sticking together. I've used that spot occasionally. It's difficult to get there without someone flailing their arms about cutting through the bus lane, bike path, making right turns on Madison, etc. It is a sweet spot, though. I keep it friendly with the consulate staff that have their SUVs waiting there too.

yeah it's a bit of pain to get to, but don't think I've ever seen a consulate car in that spot. Usually just ubers.

How's the SR/F holding up in the "cold"? My SR topped out at 50mph this morning.

I really haven't noticed anything being limited on the SR/F. However, I have only been in heavy traffic on local roads during the downturned temps. I'll see if I can get on the highway a little tomorrow morning and see if anything get throttled.
