Title: Reviving a 2011 Zero FX XU
Post by: scorch on September 15, 2023, 06:04:11 PM
I got a dead Zero FX XU... Now what to do with it

Battery appears to be dead. Seems the options are using nissan leaf cells and it should be the easiest way to get this thing going?

Step one , get the zero. Drove from Washington D.C. to florida to get it

Going to keep this thread to show my progress if any.

I revived a 2010 zero with 499 miles I got for free but didnt keep any of the battery box and electronics besides the dash.  I now can travel at 80mph and runs great.  Went with a 72v 56ah Amorge battery, Alltrax SR72500 controller, contactor and wired it all up.  Placed new street tires on it. I did have to drive 10hrs to pick mine up. LOL
