Title: 2010 Zero DS Speedo Sensor
Post by: ___ on June 07, 2013, 07:43:17 AM
My speedometer doesn't work. I'm pretty sure the sensor attached to the front fork is busted (there's supposed to be a blue LED to show it's active, but it doesn't light up). Does anybody know where I can get a new one, aside from Zero themselves? I was talking to customer support for a long while about my motor, but after the motor issues were resolved, they stopped responding. I don't blame them, they're pretty busy, but I can only go without a speedo for so long.

Worse case scenario, I have a spare iPhone with a speedometer app, but I would rather get the built in speedo working again.

To my knowledge there is no Bluetooth in a 2010.

I believe he just means an app with a GPS speedometer. Probably not super accurate but better than nothing.

I believe the speedometer used for the 2010 S bikes is the same as 2011-2013. KOSO RX1-N.

KOSO sells several types of speed sensors, I don't know if one of these is what you want.

Protomech is 2 for 2. I zip tied the iphone onto the (now mostly useless) speedometer and it uses gps to gauge my current speed. There's some delay and it's hard to read in direct light, but it's better than nothing.

Protomech, you're the man. I've ordered the new sensor, I'll update here when I have it hooked up. :)
