It's a bit like a higher power version of the cheap Turnigy and GT Power wattmeter we use on the electric bicycles and RC hobby.

One thing to note, from the ones I looked at, is that they can derive the meter supply from the battery being tested as long as the battery voltage does not exceed 90V. If the battery peak voltage exceeds 90V then you need to use a separate supply for the meter or use a voltage divider circuit across the battery to supply the meter.

The lower current version makes a good addition to monitor your charger output
