Title: Brake performance and steerer diameter
Post by: Homer on March 07, 2010, 08:10:45 PM
What I`m interested in is the brake performance. When I rode the Quantya first time it was cold and snowy, so the Brake didn`t really work. What`s the experience of the owners and have you seen a possibility to change the brake to another model?
Next question concerns the diameter of the fork (steering tube). Is it 1" or 11/8". If iit was 11/8" the fork could be changed to a DH fork. The wheel would be no big deal to change but I could use a Magura Gustav M brake, which is also a DH product which bites.

I think you have the wrong bike.  the Quantya uses Marzocchi 40mm Upside down forks and AJP Brakes.

Never had a problem with mine.

Thank god, I don`t own a Quantya. I´m very interested in E Bikes and did a test ride for 2h with a Quantya in snow and mud, but in the end  I must say 9700.- for a bike built up with these components? Never.
The brakes and suspension on my freeride bikes (MTB) work lots better, so probably I must wait until 2011 for KTM.
I wish you happy trails,
Homer

Welche Pausen? Die beim Fahren? Wenn ja wie wirken die sich aus? Oder Bremsen? Egal wie, ich werde mir entweder den Nachfolger der Blade T6 oder aber die KTM holen. Das einzige was wir dafür brauchen ist Geduld ;)
