Runs great. Sport edition (Mars motor). Located in Portland, Oregon. Best to get in touch via CL.

More info and pictures here: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/mcy/3439152018.html

The VIN designation thing is all determined by the manufacturer and managed internally. There won't be any correlation with other bikes.

Forks, shock, wheels and gearing are the major components. Front fender, graphics and colors are the others.

I am thinking that bike was not quite stock.   ;D

Nah, it's stock. It's an '08 (I believe) which was all torque. You'll also notice that it's an 1/8 mile race, not 1/4 mile.

Not gonna happen. If you extensively disassembled it you could get it in there with help from 2-3 people, but I can assure you you would damage the interior of the car. They're not as light as they used to be!

The crates are approx 6'Lx4'Tx2.5'W

Try getting a hitch carrier or borrowing a pickup truck.

LED lamps are quite cool. But the only real justification is that you like the technology, or you like the light characteristics of the lamp.

Something else to keep in mind is that the LED is significantly heavier than the stock light. Call Zero for specifics, but it's probably 5lbs heavier.

Either go for the DS or wait for a brushless X/MX

Rain is no issue for those bikes...just don't COMPLETELY submerge it, after all, nothing is completely waterproof  ;)

Accessories (panniers, etc). These got used on the 2011 models to support bodywork.

Move the sensor a bit closer (but not so close it hits)
