I can confirm that these work very well, perfect fit and quite bright, and $4.99 per pair. Just make sure you specify BAU15S. http://m.ebay.com/itm/2-x-12V-13-SMD-BAU15s-7507-PY21W-LED-Amber-Car-Bulb-Light-Tail-Turn-Signal-Lamp-/322110364566

Are these any more visible than the stock lights?
-
Thanks for the recommendation. Do they fit with no pressure/interference on the lens? There were some similar lights previously recommended that didn't allow the lens screw to fully seat because the bulbs were slightly too tall.
-
As far as visibility, the first pair I got and put on the back are very bright, at least as much as the originals. The front ones seem a little less bright but there are a lot of variables that make comparison difficult. They are more yellow and less orange than the stock bulbs, more attention getting in my opinion, especially with the electronic flasher that is a bit faster than stock. Fit is very good with room to spare, one of the reasons I chose these particular bulbs.

I bought these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HFBWYSM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HFBWYSM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
which are a *lot* more expensive. But are *really* bright.
I'd like to see a comparison between the two. No, make that three: stock vs. LED1 vs. LED2.
Guess that means I'm shelling out a few bucks for a comparison ... stay tuned ...

I've heard good things about those, can't wait to see how this comes out. BTW, anyone tried one of these yet?

The stop light looks interesting, I like the 3 quick flashes, but the turn signals don't seem to be that obvious. I think an unsuspecting drivers first reaction would be of confusion as to what is happening.
12V LEDs don't last to long in a 13.5V system. I have tried many LEDs in my headlight (the small one at the top) to try and match the white light from the HID globe I have, but every one I have tried ends up fried after about a month.

I would have ordered 2 pairs of them, but the don´t have CE conformance declaration. So it is very likely that they get caught by customs in germany.
Already have contacted the vendor, but they just say "we already have made business with europe, but the risk is up to you". Well, i don´t want play russian roulette for 200€. So i look out for another solution.

By the way, what's the purpose of the small bulb, anyway?

I think it's a running light, still in the regulations from the time when headlights weren't required to be on during daylight.

Don't have my Zero here to check but most of my motorcycles have a Park settings beyond the steering lock on the cylinder which illuminates that light and the rear light.
Also if your main bulb fails completely in the night opposing vehicles can still see you while you scramble for the side of the road.

Thanks, also to Erasmo. Now I'm wondering if it might have to do with European regulations. When I attended Zero's 10th celebration, I learned that part of their design process involves satisfying EU regulations -- which may differ from US. If I recall correctly, one thing that was mentioned was what EM (electro-magnetic) emissions the bike radiates.

A friend installed something like that on his CBR600, and having ridden with them, I can say this type of tail light really gets attention in a reasonable way - the animation is just an instant communicator.

I've documented this on the wiki: http://zeromanual.com/index.php/Zero_Aftermarket#Headlamp (http://zeromanual.com/index.php/Zero_Aftermarket#Headlamp)
I've installed LED W3W's from the local auto parts store and have had no issues with them.

Hi,
i also bought the Weiser LEDs, but now they are hyper flashing. Did you experienced the same behaviour? What have you done against it?
Thx in advance for a reply.

When you switch to LED turn signals you need to replace the relay that controls the flashers. It's not hard to do and the wiki has clear notes on it.
Start here with the unofficial manual for LED turn signals
