Was on the fence, fell of it.
« on: December 11, 2015, 10:42:26 PM »

Good thing I fell on the good side ;D Today I signed the papers and made a deposit for a 2015 DS with top case for the price of €10.830. Estimated delivery is in week 51-52.

Now I just have to hope that the dealer is willing to divert the transport directly to my house, because of the following reason:

-''Dear lord Erasmo, why didn't you get the bike at the dealer 20km from your house?''
Because the dealers in the Netherlands are ridiculously expensive, for example the nearest has a '15 FX for a whopping € 12.700 or a '14 DS for €12.490.

Now I just have to register it, install the powertank and Chademo inlet and it's ready to use for work.

that is a very good price, Erasmo.
A 12.5 or 9.4 straight from the Importeur?

Thanks.

It's a 12.5 demo. They actually had a cheaper one on display but that one got snatched before I could buy it.
But it seems that there are more demo models at the HQ right now. Too bad I had to go to another country to get one but if it saves me €2000 I'd be a fool not to.

Do you have a ChaDeMo option - or did you mean J1772?

There is no CHAdeMO inlet made by zero for 2015 bikes.  Are you talking about an aftermarket CHAdeMO INLET?

It is indeed an aftermarket installation, they couldn't fit the inlet in the place where Zero put it because it is normally used on cars so it has to go in a top case.
The plug itself is considerably cheaper than the one that Zero offered.

I would love to have ChaDeMo charging on my bike - can you post some pictures when you get the ChaDeMo inlet installed and tell us more about it?

Congrats Erasmo. That's an excellent price! We've still got no news on our bikes arriving yet, or the subsidy. I'll look forward to hearing your stories. [emoji4]

Mind you mine isn't a DSP but a normal demo DS.

Just got an email from the dealer that is has arrived ;D

Bit of a silly question, can somebody measure the total length of the DS for me? I'm trying to find out if it will fit in a rental van but I can only find wheelbase lengths.

I would imagine that pretty much any standard van with seats removed would work.
Might possibly be easier / cheaper with rental truck, unless you have friend with a van.
The wheel base of all seem to be 56.2", add another foot per wheel, include another
few inches for padding, and, you get around 80", or, right at 2 meters.

In a large van it would fit of course but I'm hoping that it will fit in a Fiat Doblo cargo or something similar.
I can rent those without kilometer restriction and since I have to drive about 1000 km to pick it up that saves a lot.
