Zero fx throttle curve
« on: June 05, 2016, 05:09:53 AM »

I've had a Zero Fx for about a month now and it's super fun. Only thing I'd like to adjust is the initial throttle punch.

I'd like to get a snappier initial throttle to play around some more with wheelies. Is there any way to adjust the controller on these bikes to make it a linear curve?

Yes, it is possible to adjust the throttle curve using an IXXAT CAN USB adaptor and Sevcon software.

By default it is actually linear (at least on the 2014 SR) and you can adjust the curve to make the power come on stronger earlier or later as you twist the throttle.

See section 6-18 of http://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/Manuals/Gen4_Product_Manual_V3.0.pdf for an explanation.

I can imagine this would void the warranty...
