100% brand new packs! turned key on/off several times. Plugged and unplugged several times, no "click". Bike turns on normal but no lights, signals, horn, etc. Red triangle flashes 2-1 contactor error then 4-1 welded contactor when ign is on.

Brand new as in you bought another set? Or the bike is brand new?

Is this with one battery or 2?
Plug one battery in and see if you can get it to click on

Are the two batteries at the same state of charge

Will the bike charge?
Can you put your old batterynin and does it turn on??

Turns out that the motor controller was faulty which caused batteries to discharge. Controller replaced under warranty in a week and moto is working perfectly! Was able to see how they (Zero) commission the new controller to the motor, really neat! Thanks to Harlan for his help with warranty on batteries, etc.!

Glad you got things resolved ... Zero continues to be a stand-up company when it comes to taking care of their customers :)

I wonder if they had to hook the controller up to another battery in order to diagnose it (geeking out a bit in my mind)
