Title: Tesla Tap tested today
Post by: vinceherman on November 19, 2019, 08:10:17 PM
I have been waiting for a day with less risk of snow on the road so I could test my recently received Tesla Tap.
5.8kW

This is the next piece in my toolkit for tackling longer distance rides.
I doubt that the weather will let me ride down to Daytona Beach from Cleveland for Bike Week so I will put it in the truck.
Riding down to Tail of the Dragon should be doable if I commit the time off.
But I might truck there too to save time for a ride to New Orleans.
All tentative but I think these will be fun.
I would love to have side bags though.  Hope Zero hurries up and makes the side racks.

I recommend checking on Tesla's Charge Map (https://www.tesla.com/findus?bounds=49.762066421275314%2C-64.19794157788414%2C16.143921765345038%2C-148.57294157788414&zoom=5&filters=destination%20charger) so you can check out the Destination charger first. Their map tells you what the max power output is, and they vary sometimes.
