Title: My battery pack capacity is increasing
Post by: Richard230 on June 20, 2014, 09:08:15 PM
I now have over 2500 miles on my power tank equipped S.  When the pack was new the Zero app showed a fully charged charge (sorry) of 13.22 kWh.  Last night I checked it again, with a 100% charge, the app showed a charge of 13.34 kWh.  So I guess my pack is becoming a little bloated with use.   ;)

Once in a while a complete discharge and then charging is also making the capacity a little better for a while  :)

Hello together,
i observed the same effect. (Zero SR without power tank)
After 2 load cycles i succedded to ride 165 km from 100% to total empty .
Average spped was about 70 km/h

10 cycles later the batterypack shows a remarkable increase in capacity.
Last week i drove 141 km and had 34 % charge left. (average speed 55km/h)
The calculated rest range had been 74 km.

A friend, owner of a city el told me, that this training effect is normal for LiPo batteries.

I was wondering if the battery pack was getting better or if I was just somehow managing the throttle better. I commute 61km to work on mostly highway at 100km/h. The first couple of times I had 47% battery capacity left (i have power tank). Just yesterday I did the same 61km with 53% left. In theory now I could make it to work and home without charging. I still have not tried...
