Crazy or not? It's only 1100 miles or so.
I have an external 3.3kW charger and 1-2 weeks if needed.

You should go for it! Of course the big risk is hitting a charger that doesn't work, and the next closest is 50 miles away. For that reason you might want to budget buffer hours in case you need to slow charge.
I'm planning my own trip from Chicago to upper Michigan on my FXS with a 6kW charger. It'll be ~450 miles over three days. There's only one dicey portion where I'll have to go 70 miles in one charge through a very rural area. Probably like you, I want to see if I can do it.

I've just spent my whole day on Plugshare, google maps, and evstationslocal.com (http://evstationslocal.com) (just found that site, it has different data than plugshare, and helps with some of the gaps) trying to find a way to do it. I figure I could do 200 miles a day without too much trouble. I think I have most of it mapped out. There's one or two stops that I found on plugshare that I might just have to ask a hotel if I can charge for a nominal fee during the day without staying there. Next step is to see if I can get campsites / hotels for my nights along the route.
The next question is documentation. Do I try to be a lame version of newzeroland and vlog it, blog it, or just put some comments here. Many things to think about.

Made it to the UP, eh?

A bigger risk is the belt. My confidence is low.
