Title: Anyone tried a powertrain recolor?

Title says it all! I have a LW1 on order and I was thinking of ways to tone down the chrome powertrain. Do you think there would be any issues rattle canning/plasti dipping it? I haven’t owned an electric bike before so I don’t know if it heats up or paint might be harmful somehow.

It wouldn't hurt anything. The motor itself is liquid cooled so it doesn't get very hot. You can touch the housing with your bare hands even after an aggressive ride and not burn yourself.
