Title: Yet another dumb newbie question
Post by: heroto on August 03, 2018, 03:44:57 AM
I have the lower of the two optional displays set to “trip 2”. I read the online manual correctly, but their instructions regarding reset don’t seem to work. How do I reset the trip meter(s)?
Thanks

The way you reset the trip meter, or any of the displays, is to push the lower button so that the display starts to flash and then push the upper button and hold it until trip 2 returns to "0". Then push the lower button once and it will stop flashing.  At least that is my recollection.

Thanks, I’ll try that.

99.99% of all vehicles on the road require only a simple button push or two to reset a trip meter, Silly me for assuming that Zero is in that group.

Fellow geezer nerds may recall the bass ackwards HP calculators from the early 70s.  If you get this and are laughing or at least nodding in agreement right now, I’m with you. Tolerable in 1973 but in 2018 simply nonsense.
