Title: An SR/S parked next to me!
Post by: Crissa on March 06, 2020, 10:42:38 AM
I was out getting take-out and an SR/S parked next to me!  I didn't see the rider, they went into the restaurant while I was in the line at the grocery.

The last photo is blurry because well, not my bike so I was holding up the camera to get into the mirrors.  They're totally in a great spot, you'd never have yourself stuck in them, and they're not that much further forward.  It's a great wide view in them, like in a car.

I had an interesting interaction, a guy saw my gear and asked if that was my bike, and I had to explain mine was the old one he hadn't even noticed.  He wondered how they performed and how their range was... Apparently he company-jumped from Tesla about a decade back and was looking for a job.  I wished him luck.

I sorta wonder what they think pulling up for dinner and parking next to an older bike they sold ^-^;  Do they think it's a clunker, or get a thrill that one is being used by someone they don't know?

The mirror placement on the SR/S reminds me of my old Trophy. Took a bit of getting used to, always looking under my arms but it did give me one of the best views of what was behind me in addition to what was to the side of the side cases. Definitely a design more bikes should incorporate. As much as I love my EsseEsse9, the mirror placement is like most other bikes...great view of my elbow and/or the side but almost impossible to see directly behind me without contortions while I’m riding.

That's a SERIOUS windshield that thing has installed.  Definitely NOT the stock item.  Wonder who sells that?

That first photo of the SR/S looks better than the factory photos of the bike on their website.  I like the angle. I think it does a nice job of showing the lines of the new bike.

I bet the SR/S was being ridden by a factory employee testing out a possible new touring windshield offering from an outside vendor.

Nice catch Crissa.
I agree the first picture should be captioned "Evolution".  Very nice angle and comparison of the two styles.

And yes guys that has to be a test screen and not the stock sport bike style screen.  Looks very functional but a bit less cool.

Frankly this is the bike that needs to be setup for Police use as it now looks like a mean interceptor handing out tickets.

I've seen that windshield at Zero HQ. Zero is working on that, and I think it's a good design (but could use some tweaking).

Nice!

They aren't my spouse's style, but even she's excited that they're branching out - and at the range she would use.

A vertical picture of a horizontal object. Hmm, how can we get the entire bike in the photo?

The whole photo is there, the forum display just truncated it.
