Just got the update.  Changes simply says bug fixes and performance improvements.

Is that the app listing title "generation 2"?
The one I got for my phone never would link with my DSR.

No, it's what I call it.  Generation 3 being the SR/F and SR/S, and Generation 1 being the pre-2013 models.  I don't know how accurate that is... I just made it up.

No Gen 2 is what I would call those bikes as well.
I meant is it a different listing in the app store or just the old Zero Motorcycle app updated.
But I take it it's the old app, updated.

You had me curious so I had to look.  Zero calls the app for the SR/F and SR/S "Zero Motorcycles Next Gen."

New question popped up when I paired the app to the bike: It wanted permission to track the location of the phone while paired. Interesting!

Android 9+ (maybe earlier versions too - I'm no expert for Android) requires location permissions to use BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and/or the GPS receiver.
