Hi All, This is my first post here.
Let me describe me a little bit 8)
I've been following this great forum since few month now , also thru twitter and i'm also active member on the Endless-Sphere forum since 2007.
I've been playing with ebikes ( bicycle) for 5 years now and tried everything possible with an ebike including using 10kW+ in our motor, building dozend of lithium battery, sharing alot of experiences and also made one world record attempt. My fastest speed on ebike is actrually 113kmh on a DH bike and burst power of 111Vdc and up to 294A.
Here is my youtube account with 80+ video about battery, ebikes, motor test, dyno, electric trike with ski for winter, towing a schoolbus with one of my ebikes and also doing racing!

I'm in the process of buying a 2011 zero motorcycle and it is very ecxitying!
I have read couples of thread about the zero and i also observed that people often talk about the range of their zero using the bar displayed on the LDC display. About that i plan on installing a large display cycle analyst and also the cycle analogger with GPS to be able to monitor everything including the path i make with it. With the informations of speed, volt, amp, max amp, min volts, Ah, Wh, i will get alot of interesting data to share with you. For those who wonder what is the cycle analyst, here is the page that describe it the best:

Also, i would like in future project to add a gas generator for longer distance commute. I am thinking about using oe of these compact brushless RC motor that can do up to 7kW and measure 4inch diameter thru a current and voltage regulator to chage directly the motorcycle battery and to combine it with a gas engine that is tuned to be efficient at the right rim the motor wil run.
welll alot of good projects for 2012.

Wow, skis on an e-trike. Ingenius! It does seem like a lot of Canadians are very mechanically-inclined and innovative. Must be from being shut in during the long, cold winters and having time to comtemplate, plan and scheme. Welcome to the Zero Forum. I hope to pick your brain regarding the 2011 Zero S cause I bought one a 3 weeks ago myself and I love it.

My Electric Motorsport GPR-S came with a Cycle Analyst as part of its instrument display and I found it to be very accurate and its displays interesting and useful. I can recommend the device. Welcome Doc. I'll be looking forward to reading your posts. :)

Thanks for the info Richard.
I'm using the cycle analyst since 2007. I have personally 7 cycle analyst for different EV projects including for measuring the energy for my fifferent power supply and charger output and load resistors for battery testing.
I also have the version with the datalogger and GPS wich is an excellent combo! and files are compatible with google map
Justin recently made an update for up to 400V ( survival) and 350V continuous.
Wich is really nice most electric and motorcycle projetcs. I know that the cycle analyst is also installed on the killacycle!.. yes.. a 110s11p pack !

Hey Doctorbass, great to have you on the forum! I've been following your creations on E-S. Amazing stuff. Also liked the podcast episode you did on Ebike Nerdcast. http://troyrank.com/2011/03/29/episode-9/ (http://troyrank.com/2011/03/29/episode-9/)

I am going to do a turbine/electric series hybrid motorcycle one of these days! You can get better power density than an ICE bike, while maintaining the energy density of kerosene. Plus it will sound like a freakin' jet!
