Title: matching LED indicators and relay
Post by: manlytom on May 20, 2012, 12:29:10 PM
hi all,

if one searches the aftermarket ebay shops Zero is obviously not know. It seems the Zero has all standard, quite generic fittings - so most should fit - or is a particular bike a close match ?

for LED indicators would these work ?

and one (Which one) of the relays as I do not want to use the resistors:

Yep, those turn signals should work. Just get a 3 pin led flasher unit. if you pull off the tank, the relay is right there beneath the fuses.

Most LED flasher relays can work if you make a simple wiring harness, but if you want one that's a plug-and-play replacement, search ebay for "CF13JL-02" ...they are less than $8

Autozone flasher #758 has to correct polarity, plugs in and fits in the strap. $11.49 and you don't have to mess with the NET. Note: Be sure to look for LED on the flasher, some of the 758's did not have it???  Oops! I got it at 0'Reilly Auto Parts, Auto zone  has LED flashers, I did not have time to check the polarity.

Hi the flasher as per my link above just worked and fitted into the harness. It just doesn't like to much water -- it makes ticking noise for a while - still works. the guys from China sent me a free replacement. cost was about $5 including shipping. Guess i just need some tape to water proof it a bit more.
