Motorcycle.com says that the 2013 Zero S is their choice for the best electric motorcycle this year. They like it better than the Brammo Empulse, which received an honorable mention.

Good find, Richard. I decided Zero S was #1 and Brammo Empulse R #2 back in April when I test rode both. For me it wasn't even close though. Hey, I just got a center stand like you have and used it to check the steering bearings and release the gas in the forks. Works great.

I rode both in one day, the Brammo first, followed by the Zero.
The Brammo looks beautiful and feels like a sportbike. It was super solid in the corners and has good power. I also like the fact that it has the level two charge. I did not dislike the transmission but I don't think it really does much.
For me the Zero is like riding a magic carpet. The bike seems to respond to your thoughts and that is very appealing to me. Seating position is very comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed riding the Zero and preferred it to the Brammo.
Bottom line: I don't have either because I am still saving up the money.

Also, their mobile app received honorable mention for best technology. I find that I am using the thing pretty often. Get a decent mounting solution (not the RAM X Grip) and your phone becomes a supplemental dashboard!
