Title: Motocross seat for 2016 FX?

Is there a motocross type seat available for the FX? I really don't like the 'bucket seat' that it comes with. I'm looking for something flatter, like a real moto seat.

The 2013 Zero MX seat (P/N 24-01596 04) is what I'm using - it's worked pretty well so far:

If the '15-'16 seat mounts are the same as on my '14, it should fit fine.

I like that! If your seat mounts with the side cover bolts (behind the MX), it just may fit. Thanks!

I followed the same advice and got this MX seat for my 2015 FX.

I am glad I made the switch, although there were few things that caught my attention during install:

• I had to flex the seat a little more than I expected to get it locked in.  Not a big deal.
• There was an ABS line zip-tied to the top of the frame which interfered with the MX seat.  I just removed the factory zip ties, pushed the lines aside by 1/4", and then re-secured them with new zip ties. Again, not a big deal.
• The MX seat is a little bit taller, a little bit narrower (not as wide as the battery compartment), and not quite as long (less available for a passenger).  I haven't noticed any of these to be an issue when riding solo.

Thank you to all! I just installed the MX seat on my '16 FX with no problems whatsoever. With the seat being just a little narrower it seems to have not affected seat height. I still just barely touch the ground! It sure feels nice being able to move around while trail riding.

Yes it is. I ordered it from a Zero dealership via phone and had it a week later.
