Title: A good soak test for my 2014 DS
Post by: MostlyBonkers on June 21, 2016, 01:47:35 PM
Yesterday morning was one of those days when the rain is pouring and there's no sign of it stopping. A quick look at the weather radar confirmed my suspicions and so I put my swimming trunks on.

It was the kind of soaking that turns your riding gear into a wet suit. Eco mode went on so I didn't have to be terribly careful with the throttle. I'm very glad that there's a tumble drier at work, even if your clothes come out smelling of the combined sweat of a dozen cyclists...

My Zero didn't cut out. The only complaint it made was the warning light flashing very rapidly three times with a few seconds pause. That was when I switched on for my ride home. I've no idea what it meant but it stopped a few minutes after I got on the move.

My ride home was dry thankfully. Aside from the warning light which doesn't relate to any of the sequences in the owner's manual, the bike coped well. Just what British commuters need - a bike that's reliable in the wet. :-)
