Title: Honda + Hitachi = New era?

Well some of us wondered how long till Honda would get serious about electric vehicles and it looks like pretty soon.

I just read in my newspaper yesterday that Toyoda and Suzuki (of all companies) are doing the same thing.  They plan to work together to design alternate fuel and environmentally-friendly vehicles.  I kind of wonder what Suzuki brings to the table?   ???  It does seem to be a trend, though. But then Japanese manufacturers do sometimes walk in "lockstep" - or is it like one lemming following another?  ::)
