I asked this question over on Facebook too. Has anyone tried these drop-in turn signals in their Zeros?

I've been looking for some good LED replacement bulbs for the turn signals too. 700 is a lot of lumens, so they must be really bright. The two issues with replacing turn signal bulbs on the Zero are first, the pins on the base are offset and secondly, the depth of the signal housing is very shallow so usually the LED bulbs end up being too long.
There is no information in the link to determine if the bulb will fit.

+1 on the weisertechnik. Very bright!

Is that $85.00 per lamp, so if I upgrade my two Zeros to these, it will cost me $680.00?? That will buy more than a few lifetime supplies of the stock lamps.
Or is that the price of a kit of four lamps? Then that is very reasonable--almost too cheap.
FWIW, I already have an LED headlamp in each of my Zeros.

I was told the "Originals" are also PLENTY bright for less money but I don't know if that price is for a pair or a single bulb. At least Aerostich points out theirs is by the pair...

I have a 15´FX but webshop says only from 16´ onwards?
Did they really change blinkers on the FX in 2016?

In manual it says:
2015FX: RY10W
2016FX: RY10W
2017FX: RY10W
Also on my 2013DS and probably every Zero.

It might have to do with the shape of the turn signal housing. From the Wiesertechnik photo, their replacements are a flat board that fills the entire housing, not just a drop in bulb like the Aerostich offering. If the earlier models use a different shape housing then I could see how those wouldn't fit.

My guess is, they just haven't tested the fit on earlier models (probably no access to a bike -- these are still rare bikes), so they're not willing to accept the liability of putting them on the list.

I sent an email to Weiser to inquire about the quantity and will report back with what I find out. My guess is that the price listed is for a pair of turn signals.
Follow-Up: I heard back from Weiser and the price is for a pair of turn signals. I'm not quite ready to shell out $170 for replacement turn signal lights. There's got to be a better alternative. So the search continues.

One watchout is the height - sometimes this style of LED bulb won't allow the lens to be fully seated.
Here's a cheap alternative that I am using in my FX. Order a couple extras as quality isn't great. A $10 flasher replacement is also required in order to run simple LED bulbs - not a difficult job at all.

Hmmm.........those bulbs from Aliexpress look shallow enough, but at 120 lumens don't seem to be all that bright. How do they compare to the stock incandescent bulb?

And now you know why Zero doesn't provide LED lights all around. They're expensive enough for most people already. Adding the cost of LED lighting would drive the price up even higher, for a negligible affect on range. I'm still investigating LED turn signals not for reduced battery drain, but because they'd be one less bulb I'd have to worry about burning out, and turn signals aren't QUITE as critical as a headlight. Doing a PROPER headlight replacement would be far more time and money to make it worth my while.
I do wonder about that little "marker lamp" above the headlight, though...

I replaced the bulb in the running light above the headlight with this LED bulb from Superbrights. It is very bright and provides a nice upgrade. There is plenty of room in the housing so depth is not an issue.

Cool! Thank you!

It is the brightest LED miniature wedge base bulb that Superbrights offers. The old incandescent bulb looks like a candle compared to it.

And it's not just the cost of the bulb. The headlight assembly was submitted for DOT approval by another manufacturer, I think Yamaha. The turn signals also look generic. I think Zero spent money on only the tail light for DOT approval.

I went with sequencial turnsignals with switchbacks. Easy install. And cost $7.99 plus two load resistors.

Can you please provide a link to the turn signals. I looked on Banggoods website but couldn't find those particular ones. Thanks

Order two load resistors or a led relay.
