I contacted ClevelandMoto and ordered my 2020 FXS yesterday. I did however say I was in no hurry to get it. Early Spring is fine. I didn't want my new toy sitting around all Winter unused. I wanted a 2019 last year but they sold out, so that won't happen this time!

Woot!
I have had good experiences with the gang there.

Hi,
I was curious if there are more Zero owners in Cleveland, and if they meet for group rides.
-
That might be difficult with an FXS, but I'm game for a short distance.
-
Congratulations - i owned 3 models, and tested the SR/F. FXS is by far my preferred model - good torque, very light, goes everywhere. You will love it !
Some modifications I did and you might consider :
- adapting a low fender on the front wheel (you just need to order one from a S model at AF Racing) limits mud/water projection A LOT
- a small adaptable wind screen (I bought mine for 30$ on aliexpress, it is perfect)
- adding a button to open my garage without having to look for the remote control
- adding a small bag on the reservoir to keep rain paints + charging cable + a wipe
- bying a brake lock with the right dimension so that it fits on the passenger peg when not on the brake
- strong light led bulb (2$ on aliexpress), only for the full light light
- hand gards with turning signals (doubles original turning signal, makes you twice as visible when riding between lanes)

Thanks for the advice. I'll PM you for details. Now that I know the model is barely changing, I can buy aftermarket parts.
I'm also 6'4" so I'm hoping the dealer can make some modifications for me. Raised handlebars, lowered foot pegs.. I'll probably get the seat restuffed similar to this.

I'm 6'2" with a 2019 FXS and I think you'll be fine with stock.

I can't even bend (unbend?) my ankle to operate the brake. Too much bend at the knee and ankle because of my 35 inseam. Something will need to be done. I've sat on much bigger motorcycles and still had that issue. I doubt a little FXS fixes that.

Vince, What's your experience with their customization expertise? I'm going to want a few things modified and I don't know if they will do it ... no idea if changing things breaks warranty or not.
One of the reasons I'm buying a Zero is because I'm not gearhead or tinkerer, but I need a few things changed.

I have not had much done, but my experience working with them has been quite positive.
From the sales process
- Phil Waters was very knowledgeable on the Zero line
- Discussion of the training that he and the staff had received was encouraging
- Even though they did not want my trade-in (14 year old Goldwing with 120k miles) they gave much advice on how to manage a private sale to maximize my value
The pickup
- Small snafu with damage during shipping corrected immediately and correctly
- up front talks about accessories (lack of) and what can be done for the mods I wanted
Ownership assistance
- Turn signal sensor failed - fixed under warranty
- They ordered the rack and top box for me before Zero was shipping them. As soon as the dealership got invoiced indicating that it was shipping, the reached out to say it was on its way.
- They offered to install but were quite clear that this is very much a do-it-yourself project and walked me through the steps
- They installed 3 different universal bar-mount windshields on their demo bike and posted pictures. I got to see how the one I bought would look before I bought it!
I do plan on ordering side racks and Shad side bags.
I have handlebar risers to install.
If any of this falls outside of my meager skills, I will have no hesitation employing Cleveland Moto for these projects.

Excellent. Thank you.
I'll probably stop by there today.
-
Can anyone recommend a foot peg lowering kit that is compatible with the FXS? Just one inch would help.
-
Cold and rainy today, but I picked up my Zero FXS! I added new lowered foot pegs and it rides great! I'll make more mods over the winter months.
-
Congratulations
-
Congrats! Those bikes are stupid amounts of fun.

Would you like a quick charger for home? https://www.facebook.com/groups/123391688317862/permalink/426201034703591/?sale_post_id=426201034703591&sfnsn=mo

Very interesting...maybe. I assume there is a story behind that piece? I'm not sure I would want to plug my brand new FXS into something with no name.
