2020 fxs price in sweden
« on: June 14, 2020, 11:00:16 PM »

I read that some of you complain about the price in your country. A brand new 2020 fxs cost ( 16 392,41 us dollar) and you can ride it 3-4 months. Before the weather gets cold.

It should only cost $14.6k (€13k) according to the Zero site, it's the same throughout Europe. It's also pretty much the same price in the UK, however in the US they are only $11k which makes some sense as they're made their.

Same issue in .no..
I'm guessing both the importer and the dealer put on their normal percentage on these as well as dipping into the tax rebates making these abnormally expensive.

Then again, why wouldn't they.. this technology is disruptive.
The service tech i spoke to had a clear meaning that electric bikes is the future, and it will make people like him obsolete due to the lower servicing need.
This being said to me as i was returning the bike to get serviced for errors not even Zero knows how to reply..

What annoys me is that they downprioritize it as a result and i've now been waiting 3 weeks (of perfect riding weather) and they still haven't started on it.. /rant

Anyway, untill mainstream switches over it's still going to be expensive bikes when sold through the same network as ICE bikes.. We saw much the same with cars in the beginning. :/

The vast majority of work mechanics undertake these days is not engine-related so I reckon they'll still be plenty busy.

I wonder how much of that increased MSRP is due to import taxes and of course shipping costs?

That's included in the price according to Zero.

The price includes VAT as well as transport costs to your dealer. In addition, local transport costs, pre-delivery checks and registration costs can be added. Ask your dealer.

So, Zapo's dealer seems to be adding on $1.8k for registration, a pre-delivery check, and I'd hope delivery to the customer. When I got my previous bike the dealer charged about £120 ($150) to deliver it about 120 miles and registering a new bike is £55 ($70).

You might think during this time it should be cheaper but not? Thats why most people dont buy because of the expense.
