Charging Past Charge Target
« on: December 01, 2020, 11:08:45 PM »

The last few times I have charged my SR/S it has continued to charge past the charge target.  Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, on my SRS it does this every time. I believe its normal.

What I observed is whatever percent the thing is at when its stops charging, when I come back later it is a few percent lower.

I speculate some levelling and charging between cells is occurring after the charger disconnects, which lowers the measured state of charge. To counter this, the bike charges past its target so it will level down at the target.

I use a 90% charge target, and my bike charges to 96% before stopping. However, when I sling a leg over to head for work an hour later, its at 90%.

Not for me.
85% target.
At 85% it goes boink and stops.
I'll be shopping at Whole Foods or wherever has free chargers and get a text message that it has stopped.
Or at home on the wall outlet.
But it stops for me at the target %%% (SR/F)

I'm with Vince on this. My 2019 SR/F premium stops at the target I've set it. Most of the time that is 80%. If you key the bike on it will ask you to override or not. If you pick override from that popup it will go to 100% ignoring your target. I'm still on FW 17.
