Yeah, I kinda figured that. A project just for fun. But there could be advantages, when you do it yourself, you can get exactly what you want.

So by luck I had the good fortune to meet this guy. I am impressed by his work, and I wish him well.

JMO, but HD should have offered a long way up version of the LW that this intrepid forumite is bending over backwards to replicate.
Why? Many reasons, here are a few: the LW is marketed as urban mobility, but without luggage options; the handling is freeway superstable but not low speed agile; there is no grip heater option, and more.
I have to ask: What was HD thinking? They created a pearl, but with a giant asterisk.
A "long way up" version would be better than a gas moto - in its narrow lane by a mile. And who can pay this much?

Before this poster gets attacked (a sad and frequent reflex on this forum) because the message is not what someone wanted to read, please note that the poster has thousands of miles in all terrain on GSs, Tigers, KTMs, Zeroes, and Energicas. I'm far from an expert rider, but I am not writing from an armchair. The LW drivetrain is truly outstanding, and their switch gear and build quality are excellent. I hope they expand their offerings.

It would be awesome to have such a version, keeping the naked look just improving it for road and slight off road touring. Consider removing the gearbox to create space for more batteries. Up the AC charging speed to 15kW/h. Loose as much weight as possible.

I’ve successfully gotten the Pan America front end installed (forks, tree, laced wheel, rotors, calipers, risers) and am getting close to having the rear laced wheel installed as well - however there’s always a few hills to climb with this stuff. The LiveWire is certainly capable of off-road riding, I’m not an expert on suspension so I can’t say how long it would hold up, but the stock suspension can hold it’s own off-road. The most obvious vulnerability off-road is the exposed cast aluminum motor housing, which would not likely do well against a well positioned baby head on a jeep trail - installing a metal skid plate is highly encouraged
