Is that a 360V motor that I am seeing in the specifications or does that mean something else, like that the motor turns 360 degrees when running?  Or does that indicate that the bike's electrical system operates at 360 volts?

I hope they make a more sit down not motocross/supercross or even real enduro like have entered type of motorcycle.

Kaplan is not far from me and is a dealer, and has a youtube channel.

Wow. And the Motor Cafe web site hints that they'll be a dealer.

I can see an EX replacing my Zero FX. The Zero has stagnated for 8 years, and they're now made cheaply in Asia, and my local dealer SJ BMW is no longer dealing.

The EX would have similar kWh with much faster kW in and kW out. It would be slightly lighter and incredibly more aggressive. I'd have to test ride to get a feel and see if the chain noise is tolerable, and if it also behaves like a solid workhorse.

How's this sound?
StartVarg buy Energica, and get the tech from them.
NOW they have the 360 volt package, controller, motor,EVERYTHING they need at their fingertips.
Energica supplies a high end street vehicle, they have an entry level street vehicle, but BOTH use similar motor AND battery tech.
With Stark Vargs name, and tech, AND Energica's premium tech AND knowhow.
They could make high end dirt bikes,  High end mid level entry bikes, for people who don't need 200 HP monsters on the road and want something smaller, less intimidating.  High end race bikes, High end road bikes.  they could dominate everything, and their specs are so close already, the tech could easily be transferred between the bikes.

This could be a match made in heaven.

I don't see any reason why they'd need anything from Energica. All they'd need to do is put the Varg drivetrain in a street frame and that's hardly difficult, maybe double up the battery capacity.

why is the seat on the thing flat as a board?  Id think you'd want something to keep you from sliding right off on an acceleration?

The picture at the top of the page in the link on post 1 is intended to be riden by an athlete in the standing position.  There may be optional or accessory seats (in the future?), BMW has one for the ce04 and CanAm has some choices in build your own.

It's a motocross bike, it's intended for you to easily be able to slide forward and back on the seat. That's why it's so long despite not being intended to carry a pillion. Some motocross riders end up recovering their seat with one that's more grippy, usually with little bumps towards the rear to provide traction, or having grippier pants than what you'd wear for the road. Depending on whether the SM is going to be road legal or intended to be a race bike they might switch to a seat with a bit of a butt divot.
