Generators used as motors
« on: August 06, 2011, 06:34:14 PM »

I have several home generators a 6000 watt 12 volt electric start. I was wondering what the practicality of using that for a motor is. I researching for my Ford Ranger conversion this individual used a 36 volt generator out of an old Air Force twin prop cargo plane

it may work, but it's probably going to need an AC signal. Do you have a model number?

How many wires coming out of the generator itself?
