I just ordered a red 2012 Zero S ZF9 today in person at my local dealer, Mission Motorcycles, in Daly City, CA. Should be in by March, according to my dealer - who doesn't know any more than I do.

That's the one I want too. Since everything is new...new brushless motor, new wiring, new regenerative braking, new modes, new chemistry, new frame, I expect there will be some bugs and so I am trying to hold off a while. If there are bugs, they could just make corrections on the spot at the factory since they are building them one at a time. I haven't heard of any problems unless the motor cutting out in eco mode someone reported with the DS turns out to be a problem, but I don't like to be the first person on the block to buy something new. Being 3rd in line may actually be a good thing.
