Will the TTXGP Be Boring?
« on: February 20, 2009, 11:24:24 PM »

Here are some rare arguments against the TTXGP.

I personally disagree.  Virtually silent bikes flying by at triple digit speeds will be amazing to witness.  I’m sure you will hear some chain noise, whirring and tire on road.  I can’t wait to hear what that sounds like at 100+ MPH.

Can’t think of any other strong points in the article to argue against.

his point that the electirc bikes can only do one lap before recharging seems somewhat misplaced, as it is a one lap race (stil 60kms though). He seems like a bit of a narrow mided fool, an electric bike race can do no harm, may not be as fast as gas powered bikes to begin with, but if enough r&d money is put into electric bike racing the industry is probly more likely to make technological breakthrough, and one day they probably will be faster than gas powered bikes.
Ill definitely be watching the race anyway.

I agree.  Speed is not always the best ingredient for exciting racing.  He is probably trying to stir the pot to get links :D
