KTM E-Speed scooter concept
« on: March 22, 2013, 08:40:26 PM »

KTM  has just shown off its concept E-Speed electric scooter at the Tokyo Motor Show.  This one looks pretty snazzy and should be great for Euro urban commuting. It looks like competition for the base version of the Brammo Enertia motorcycle.

That looks like it could be a real fun around town bike. Being a KTM I would suspect it would have some really fun and impressive low end performance! That would for certain be the next F1 pit bike of choice if they produce it!

I guess KTM is finally coming up with a marketing plan for producing electric motorcycles.  Reading this story, it sounds like they will be making the E-SPEED scooter for urban commuting and the Freeride E for quiet fun in the dirt.

But it doesn't appear that they plan to compete with Brammo or Zero in the street motorcycle consumer market.

Still I believe the big makers do not get it. and good for Zero, Brammo etc.

the KTM scooter - its not that nice(ok my view on it), only in 2015, storage ??? if a scooter-commuter. .... and price ??
guess right now, several chinese make will do it at reasonable storage/price/performance mark.
For utility type commuter business what is the incentive on buying a "KTM"

The freeride - yeah, so far have to see that it really works.
