RKA Starr II rear seat bag
« on: July 24, 2013, 04:48:41 AM »

In a moment of weakness, at the BMW national rally last week in Salem, Oregon, I bought a RKA Starr II 18 liter expandable rear seat bag.  This bag replaces my RKA seat bag that I have been using on various motorcycles over the past 10 years.  It was still serviceable, but was looking a little faded and floppy.  The Starr II retails for $140, but I got the rally discount, plus there is no sales tax in Oregon, saving me another 9%.  It seems to be a nice bag and I really like the fact that it has a fabric base that can stay on the bike while the bag is removed in seconds by unfastening 4 Velcro straps that hook through four rings on the base and fasten to Velcro areas on the side of the bag.  Here is a photo showing the bag compressed.
