2013 Zero S with flyscreen and givi
« on: September 03, 2013, 01:09:10 PM »

Knuckle-scraped my way to full-on Givi makeover and flyscreen. The Givi saddles are a pain and require acrobatics but is doable. Here are some early pics, sorry for the bad lighting (night).

Looks nice!

I can't live without some hard cases. Those look really nice. Nice install.

Do you keep the passenger footpegs with side rack kit on?

Yes! One of the reasons to go for the OEM version is that it's built specifically for the Zero. Pegs stay on and the geometry means that it stays clear of legs, etc.

The top box is a smaller one (30-ish) but big enough for my commuting purposes.

One other good thing is that the racks then allow you to spend even more money with Givi on buying other bags/top boxes.

Hope that helps.

Can you send some photos on the mounting of the racks at the footpegs? I have givi oem topbox on but the givi oem side racks I would appreciate some photos for the installaion.

I can try...black on black on the inside may not show well. In the meantime, the trick is to bolt the givi side frame to the inside of the peg support/hole. Then you run the bolt from the inside through the side frame, through the peg support, into the peg so they're all bolted together. It required a ratcheting wrench that hinges.

Zero support told me many people were having a tough (but not impossible) time. Here's his contact info and his advice:

Hi Alex,
Here are some options for the ratcheting wrench we discussed.  He said either of these should work just fine.

Zero.DS.Sweden, here are the pics you asked for:
