made carbon parts for the 2013/2014 S

for our S, made a carbon fibre tail top&bottom and a front light cover
for the moment, it is real carbon but laminated on the Original part.  might be that i will make some more, perhaps complete carbon 8)

problem is the labor cost for these parts, think that is also the problem with the rear cowl from zero...

extra is the not that cheap material cost...

How much time would you say you invested?

yes, made several carbon parts before

my job includes also a lot of work on cars, motorbikes, ...

for the moment, the parts are laminated on the Original, a mould isn't interesting at this time

planning to make a 2nd pair, will count how many hours i worked on it...

Make something to replace the silly storage compartment! I would pay $$$ for a black or carbon fiber locking lid.

There is enough unused room in there to store my rain suit, lock, and lunch then ride without backpack.

have a 'tank' here, havn't looked at it yet, don't think it will be a major problem to get rid of it...

No, make it into a real storage compartment like a Honda NC700.

Dubster, if I made a lid out of stainless steel sheet metal, could you use it as a form to produce CF ones?

it is possible to make a template to make carbon parts.

the problem with carbon is time... if i have to make a mold for just 1 item, it costs hours of work! i can also laminate on the original...

ok, technicaly, it isn't a ultra-light piece but just for the looks it is perfect...
