What are these Japanese guys doing, a ZecOO using Zero motor?
« on: December 07, 2014, 02:57:40 AM »

I noticed this Facebook post where a prototype bike called the ZecOO is being tested.
Typical crazy Japanese styling of course but what caught my eye is the remark that they are using the drive train from Zero Motorcycles!
I doubt that with that styling it will ever get exported outside Japan but it could be a nice cult bike there.
Have a look at the link below

That "projection" on rear fender looks dangerous, hit a pot hole and you might be sitting on it  :o
With so few electric bikes in production , I welcome any new models, and even better if it supports zero production.

Other than the odd...uh....projection, I like it a lot. I really think we need a vehicle with a much lower rider position, perhaps even a full "recumbent" bicycle position, with full fairings attached a la Vetter/Herschner. Frontal area would be as low as possible, Cd would be extremely low as well, and drag should be about as low as a one-person vehicle can get. It might be ugly, but think of the efficiency! These guys are getting pretty close to my ideal.

They have gone "live" and are now offering 49 of the Zero technology based bikes for sale.

Interesting bike.
