2016 DSR one month of commuting with no problems

All great bikes for their time. Next a 2019 touring?

2012 XU - had battery issues. Took some time to be solved. Now fixed- i gave it to my mother, she enjoys it.
2013 S - 9000 km. A few issue - the "click", bad belt replacement causing it to break twice in a row and generated . BMS changed.

Overall first issues induced tough discussions with dealer (i suppose they were learning too, but we also had communication issues). Now much better - minor issues happen but they lend me another zero each time. I will probably sell the 2013 to buy a SR.

Riding mainly in a the city. Enjoy the bike, its smoothness and the time saved (no need to wait at the gas station, I just plug it in the morning once a week).

Stock 2014 S. Used for a daily commute of  40miles. Ex demonstrator with 600 miles on the clock. Now 6600 miles. No problems at all, even got plenty of miles left on the back tyre.

Bought my Zero S 11.4 2013 new in July 2013 and did 35000 km with no serious issues so far. I use it for daily commute except winter for 40 km per day plus fun trips before or after work. Once a year i do long distance trips at WAVE Trophy (see: www.wavetrophy.com) using my two QuiQ Chargers mounted in Givi side cases.

2016 SR, had it a few weeks now... daily commute of 32 miles each way.  Had the gauge not turn on, the first day, but it's been behaving since.  Roughly 400 miles on it so far, I think?

Loving it...

2012 S ZF9 Rear & front suspension replaced, BMS replaced, sold with 15.000 Km, new owner seems happy.
2014 SR (2015 renewal program) Charger replaced

I'm overall very happy with both bikes performance (the SR is a great and fun bike) although I'm concern about motor thermal issues, we'll see in the summer...

2015 DS 12.5 ex-demo, bought it with 1400 km on odo. After 3 weeks of ownership, the charger went tits and was replaced under warranty. Changed the stock tyres, which i didn't like on asphalt to Michelin Anakee's III. Huge improvement! My commutes vary a lot. Love it.

2012 S ZF6  - 24,000 miles so far.  (1)Glitch, (2)Brief programming problem where BMS thought the bike was a ZF9, (3)Rear fender cracks, (4)Loose front sprocket.   All fixed now.  The battery is down to about 85% original capacity, a little disappointing considering the lowish mileage (equivalent to about 550 100%DOD cycles), but maybe expected given 4 years of aging.

I've really enjoyed my time with Zero.  Got it for just $5000 new (Colorado had a brief window with monster tax breaks), will get another Zero when my current one gives out.  At this point it's looking like the battery will be the weak link, I'm hoping for another 25,000 miles before it drops to 50% capacity.

Hey Paul, first congrats for putting so many miles on a 2012 ZF6! That's pretty amazing considering the new FX and FXS have more battery capacity than that bike did!  Just curious how low you usually ran the batteries for my own knowledge.  I also have a 2012 and over 75,000 miles and have less than 1% loss in capacity.  But I have more capacity by a lot, so each cell doesn't get as much of a workout.  Also I rarely go below three or four bars on most trips.  Rarely do I ever see the two flashing bars, although I have run it to empty before.  Just curious to the frequency you ran the batteries to say perhaps the two flashing bars before recharging.  Thanks!

I've had 2 Zero's.

A 2012 with 75,000+ miles.  Had some issues but all due to my modifications.  This bike was highly modified.  Can do 300 miles on a charge at 70 mph and recharge in an hour.  But it weighs 1400 lbs when fully loaded with me, all my gear, and hundreds of feet of extension cords and cables.

A 2015 with 8000+ miles.  Trouble free.

2015 SR with 3,500kms so far and no issues at all. Slight squeal from front brake just before coming to a halt. Will copper grease the back of pads at the weekend. Love the bike

Maybe 1-in-4 rides do I get down to 2 flashing bars?  Remember also at WOT I'm pulling around 4-5C,  whereas on your 2012 "ZF21" you're only going to see around 1.5C discharge.

I had a 2012 XU that had fork seal issues when new, several changes were needed, but, finally worked out okay.
Just before the end of the warranty, I started having "glitches". The bike was taken to HollyWood Electrics, where
a new motor was installed under warranty. On the way home from picking it up, I was run over by an SUV, and,
the bike was totaled. All issues were taken care of to my satisfaction.
I now have a 2013 FX that I have had for about a year and a half. It is set up as a SuperMoto. No issues with it
at all. S Front End, S Front Brake, S Wheels, Fox shock, and, DigiNow Dongle.

2011 XU: put some miles on it. Needed a MBB, BMS, throttle ... then they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Zero is in the process of making things right.
2014 SR: bought it new, love it. Plan to keep it forever. Getting luggage and quick charge capability set up so I can 'tour' with it. Right now the steering lock is broken (just stopped working one day) and it was delivered with a torn up grip (has never been made right but I know it's cheap to fix). Otherwise it's been good. The power is addictive. I can't wait for the stock tires to be done so I can put better tires on it.

2016 Zero SR 13.0 + Power Tank.

Mainly commuting and general cruising.
Had a minor firmware issue just after I got the bike, but Harlan and team gave me a loaner (2015 SR) while the bike was being worked on, and got the issue resolved. I picked up the bike on Friday, and everything seems good.

Previously had regular motorcycles, all 600s - Honda '02 F4i and '04 RR.
Range meets 99% of my needs.

Love the raw acceleration, and the awesome simplicity of charging.

'15 FX fell in love immediately! Huge grin inside helmet every ride!

Sold RG500, RZ500, etc.

Got a '16 FXS yesterday, only 1 quick ride, F**k yes! Shouldn't have this much fun with clothes on!

Can't wait to do some V twin "lifestyle" hunting.
