I may have had an accident. ;)

No not a traffic accident.

But I might have tripped over at my dealers and accidentally brought an SR with Power Tank...

It was an accident I tell you (and told my Wife... ;) )

Did you trade in your 2013? What kind of value did you get for it if so?

Not great, the 2014's police bikes hitting the market at £6500 have dropped the trade in price of the 2013's
I was offered £4000 by my dealer. It made me sad, but I've been building a decent deposit so it was not so bad.

Did mean I went for the 2015 rather than a 2016 SR though.

That's great. I'm sure the ride is a world away from the 2013. Enjoy

Congrats Justin! Now I've got to decide what I'm going to do... Charlie the younger got in touch with me just now and that deal we talked about is on if I want your 2013.

Congratulations!

I've got my 2015 SR with powertank on order with Streetbike. Just had an interesting call from Charlie today hinting that the UK government subsidies may be coming into force very soon, so hoping to shave a little more off the price.

Yeah, I had the same chat with Charlie when I popped in to SB yesterday to pick some bits up. I'm hopeful but not holding my breath.

Yup, same here. It'd be nice if they did finally bring the subsidies in, but I won't hold my breath for them being anything especially meaningful :-(

When the Coalition Government were talking about them in May there were throwing around figures like £1500, which was not too shabby.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-revs-up-motorcycle-market.

The car one is 35% of the value of the car up to 5 grand, so even if they slashed that on bikes to 10% thats still a decent amount off an SR.
Personally I think they might announce either £1000 off the list price, or lower or no VAT on electric motorbikes for a year.
