Korean Hyosung also showcases in Milan three new scooters. Gem 4.0 is an extremely comfortable scooter with an electric engine of 7.1 kW. Max speed is 100 km/h and the predicted range is of 120 km at 40 km/h (average). The engine is a brushless, DC in wheel motor. GEM 4.0 will be fed by a battery pack using lithium ion batteries with a loading time of 2 hours (80% DOD). Total weight is 170 kg.
The Gem 2.0 model has been studied for the urban mobility on shorter distances. The motor system is brushless, DC in wheel motor that delivers 3.6 kW and a max speed of 65 km/h. The range is of 110 km at 35 km/h. The motor is fed by lithium ion batteries with 2 hours re- loading time (80% DOD). Total weight is 85 kg. The short time of loading, the lithium ion batteries and the weight are important plus factors .
