It looks like electric motorcycle sales throughout Europe declined so far this year.  I have no idea why.  But at least the EU gets the numbers. In the U.S. this sort of information appears to be a state secret:

Austria is one tenth of Germany and 1.5% of Europe has more than 20% of Europe sales.  Even had more before ... as Austrian i am really suprised ... why ?

I'm really kind of bummed....  I love motorcycles and have been riding for near 50 years....  I caught the electric bug about a year ago, and it's like being reborn....  I think electric is a kick in the pants, and it's becoming more and more viable everyday....  I just don't quite understand....

Perhaps gas prices remain too cheap, and especially conveniently available, to incentivize the public to go electric and to ignore the range limitations and expense of electric motorcycles?

Having done ZERO research (pun intended) I would guess that there is some tax or subsidy that used to exist in Germany that no longer applies.

Austria sales are probably high because KTM is a domestic manufacturer, so probably selling quite a lot of their Freeride E

I prefer KTM instead a electric bike. Lol when it breaks it breaks and coast a fortune to fix. And as I am based in Canada  the extremely cold weather makes it even hardly to maintain

Ok, this could explain this numbers.
I have seen a new e-freeride Park opened two years ago with at least 20 of KTM e-bikes, but i think they have no licence plates, so not in statistics.

But in Austria ist also the johammer. . .and touristic:
Edelweiss Bike Travel of Austria hast been working with Zero Motorcycles to offer Alpine tours on Zero's   ...

That is surprising because the forecasts I have been reading lately are for Electric Motorcycles to be growing compared to ICE market.

If there was a projected global growth I'd expect it to be in the more affluent and conscientious markets - so I would count on Europe.

I wonder if we're trying to find too much significance in a simple glitch. Maybe Zero made a conscious decision to withdraw from the European market because they simply weren't making enough money overseas yet. Maybe the earliest adopter market has been satisfied and further penetration has been difficult. Maybe the colder weather in Europe just makes EVs a tougher sell (Tesla has a water cooling/warming system for their battery pack).
