Curtiss electric motorcycles
« on: November 21, 2017, 10:11:14 PM »

This teaser regarding the future Curtiss Electric Motorcycle company (formerly Confederate Motorcycles) contains a historically interesting video which shows the Curtiss Motorcycle Museum:

Attached is a news article regarding Curtiss Motorcycles. Note that they will be powered by two Zero motors.

Every Labor Day weekend I head up to Watkins Glen for the Annual BMW Finger Lakes Rally.  A must stop is the Curtiss Museum over in Hammondsport.  I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

It would be GREAT if Curtiss Motorcycles would relocate to New York State, but I don't see that happening.  A recent article seems to imply that "Curtiss motorcycles" will be substantially more affordable than "Confederate motorcycles" too.  Definitely going to be keeping an eye on them and I wish them the best of luck and success.

Oh, that's interesting.  Maybe the Cruiser brand and the Zero brand will end up as peers.

The teaser photo's TRON-like styling is certainly catching my eye.

Just bear in mind that Confederate's last bike sold for $135,000.00.  By that yardstick, a $50,000 motorcycle would be considered "substantially more affordable."   ;)

Well, they are using *dual* ZeroSR motors, so, yes, expect it to cost more than the most expensive Zero to date.
