Nobody rides supermoto and play bikes on freeways anyway, even with gasoline engines. And if someone makes an electric bike with a 300 mile range then, or course, it will be used for commuting more often, but then it won't be as light or as fun, and people will be saying you can't take it on a full-day trip.

Do-it-all bikes simply do not exist, even in the old and established ICE world. But as long as new bikes are more fun in one way or another, there will always be a place in the market for them.

While your concept of a "do it all" bike may not exist, BMW has certainly sold a lot of very heavy, tall, powerful and expensive GS models over the years, so there would appear to be a decent market for such beasts - even if few of them ever get taken off road except by the "big dogs" that we read about but rarely have seen.  ;)
