Fastace gas shock BFA01AR
« on: March 02, 2018, 04:39:13 PM »

Searched the forum for information to no avail.

Is this a possible replacement for the 2014 S (260mm) ?

Hi Doc since your new I don't know if you know about the Unofficial Zero Manual.  So here's a link.
As for the shock I don't know, sorry I know it's real tight under there.

Here's a more specific link to the unofficial manual's table on the rear shock models used:

https://zeromanual.com/index.php/Unofficial_Service_Manual#Rear_Shock

Some substitutions are listed, and 260mm seems reasonable, but I am no expert on shocks.

Hm, I haven't seen that one.  Would be interested to know if it works well for you.

Looks better than the Wotefusi & TDPRO.

This looks like it would fit, but the load rating is too low.

This also looks like its got an undersized coil.

This is a 10mm short, but looks like it would fit.  The Load capacity: 600 lbs.

The fastace BFA01AR you linked to has a 1200lb spring.  That'll stiffen up the ride quite a bit from stock (if my understanding of the ratings is correct).  If you ride with loaded saddle bags and a passenger it might be something you want.   I went from a variable spring 550 ~ 805 lbs/in to a 980lb spring.  Not sure how much of a difference a 1200lb would be.
