It IS fully equipped, including the rack and trunk, saddlebags and mounts, crash bars, fairing, hand guards....are any of the accessories Zero offers NOT on this bike? It may even have a charge tank or power tank, and/or fast charger mounted in the trunk or a saddlebag. It may also have special equipment like radios and such, though I don't see any extra lighting mounted to the crash bars. All told, including labor for installation of all that stuff, crating, shipping and a reasonable profit for the supplier, and I don't think the price is that far out of whack. All that crap adds up.

Interesting take - how does the FX becomes $18,407.51? 8 Grand worth of accessories?

It's a DSR, not an FX.

The thing on the tank looks to me like a CB radio.

Link earlier in the thread is for an FX with $8,000 of accessories.

It's a DSR, not an FX.

The thing on the tank looks to me like a CB radio.

Alright, let's do the FX. I'm seeing a non-standard fairing, handguards, rack, top box (w/ radio/gps/other equipment in it?), I'm sure the "approved" blue light isn't cheap, and as someone mentioned, very possibly extra battery packs and/or charger(s).

Let's put it this way. How much would YOU charge to purchase, set up and deliver an FX like that? It's gotta be worth your time and energy, doesn't it?

Oops, forgot the crash bars. I'd bet those alone are $600 or more just to purchase, not including installation cost.

The radios and equipment will be different for every agency. It’s unlikely any communication hardware will ship with it. The crash guards are $175 everywhere I look. $250 for DSR. (Example: https://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=90911&sku=ZM10-08028&description=Zero+MC%27s+Crash+Bars+for+%2714%2D%2717+FX%2FS+%2D+ZM10%2D08028)

There’s no mention of extra battery. Wow, FXP is 303lbs. https://www.zeromotorcycles.com/fleet/police/specs.php

I’ll have my procurement guy reach out and see what the extra ~1,000 pounds is for in shipping. Maybe it’s a 4 pack and a great discounted price? Lol
