Settings access, Disable Tipover sensor for airplane
« on: June 03, 2019, 11:56:10 PM »

After installation in my plane I’m getting the safety interlock dash flash. A dump shows a Tipover error.
 - Tipover Sensor Vector     :  -21, 152, 196 - 248/256 G
 - Tipover Sensor Roll Angle     :  4
 - Tipover Sensor Pitch Angle    :  54

Curiously, I have not found an orientation of the MBB that removes this error. Even better would be no Tipover interlock that could kill power say on a steep climb after takeoft. Two questions:
Is there a command that disables this interlock?
How can I get access to be able to this and other desirable changes eg. Disable kickstand interlock?

Thanks fro any help/clues.

I was unaware of this being implemented in production machines. I could simply be unaware, but is it possible that you have a prototype setup?

In any case, I would log in and look under the settings to see if you can turn it off, or set the flag to 0 if it is that type of value.

set is the command to see what you have access to.

It appears that this dubious feature was added in 2018. It is covered  in section 4.3 of the operator’s manual. I just checked and found no mention  in the 2017 manual.

Logging in to change  this parameter seems like a good idea. (I would disable ABS too).  Where can I find out how to get access to the necessary passwords?

Thanks

I lay my bikes down fairly frequently trying to learn tricks and the first time I dropped the Zero on concrete I had to reboot to get it working again. But I have a 2017 FXS, so I'm not sure what was going on.

Every time I've dropped the zero on dirt I just pick it up again and ride off without a reset.
