UK price increase
« on: September 26, 2019, 03:10:13 PM »

I notice that the UK price for fxs and the Sr/DS range as increased by £1000. Quite a considerable amount for no advancement of specifications upon the previous year. I think I am now out of the market for a Zero and look with interest at the rapidly expanding Chinese offerings.

Could that be the result of the devaluation of the British Pound against the U.S. Dollar?

Yes, exchange rates explain most of the price.  The base price is much, much higher in the UK than in the US already though... But most vehicles are.  But the Zero is 60% more expensive than in the US.

Ouch! That sucks.  I wonder why?  Import duty perhaps, or are you guys just getting gouged by Zero, the UK distributor and the retail dealer all taking their pound of flesh on the way to the customer?  Maybe it is a conspiracy by the EU.   ::)

The official EU price is only 1K more, same for the UK price, but that's not the price I see them advertised.  (Maybe the dealer is getting models mixed up? Maybe I read the website wrong?)

I don't know.
